EXPLORING LONG ISLAND

Fishing with Purpose

Long Island Junior Anglers is all about getting kids and families out on the water. We provide the guidance and tools needed to start your fishing journey, with a focus on hands-on learning and conservation. With the support of our local Long Island community, our mission is to make sure every child has the chance to experience the sport of fishing.

Beyond sharing local fishing events, we also host regular meetups where young anglers can fish side-by-side in different locations across Long Island. These events help kids build confidence, learn new skills, and grow in a fun, supportive environment where every cast is a chance to connect and learn.

"While exploring Long Island’s shores with my own children, I realized how many families wanted to get involved but simply didn’t know where to start. We’re here to make fishing accessible to everyone—regardless of experience or gear."
— Catherine Hart, Founder
